The app bar

The app bar is the strip across the top of every OpenTMS screen. It's your launchpad: from here you switch between modules, search, see what needs your attention, and manage your own account.

The app menu

The app menu is the central launcher for all modules in OpenTMS. Open it by clicking the app menu icon in the app bar (a grid of dots).

The app menu groups apps into three sections:

SectionContains
Standard appsThe core OpenTMS modules: Dashboard, Planboard, Transport, Finance, Track & Trace and more.
FiLogic & FriendsApps from FiLogic partners that have been enabled for your tenant.
Private appsCustom apps built specifically for your organization.

You can:

  • Search for an app by name using the search bar at the top of the menu.
  • Reorder apps by dragging them — the order is saved per user.
  • See recently used apps highlighted at the top.

Click any tile to open that module. You can have multiple browser tabs open in different modules at the same time.

The module menu (sidebar)

Below the app bar on the left side of the screen sits the module menu — the list of pages for the module you are currently in. The module menu changes when you switch modules: in Planboard it shows planning items, in Transport it shows transport-related items, and so on.

  • Click any item to open it.
  • Items can be nested up to four levels deep — click a parent to expand it.
  • Items you don't have permission for are hidden automatically.
  • You can collapse the menu with the arrow at its top or bottom for more screen real estate.
tip

The fastest way to get from one module to another is app menu → click tile. The module menu is for navigating within a module.
